    Hi Bros, need some help...

I bought 20 yamatos and 30 cherry shrimps from Qian Hu. All healthy. Within a day, one by one started dying, and in a few days, all died.

Could it be that they cannot get used to my chiller causing temperature fluctuations? I turn it on for 12 hours a day - so it jumps from 28 degrees at night to 25 degrees in the day.

I also use CO2 but the Dymax colour indicator shows it to be the correct level; my fish are fine.

Did you release the whole bag into your tank all at once?

By the way, what chiller are you using that you need to turn it off manually? TEM?

    yo bros..

Cycled with a few fish, for two weeks..

I floated the bag for a few minutes... but if they were shocked from the water, wouldn't they have all died at one go?

I'm using a Hailea chiller, on a 12 hour timer.

why on earth will you put the chiller on a timer?

btw, you are using soil right? if it is GEX or ADA, 2 weeks is about the time the ph spike will happen. i expereinced it first hand. the ph drop to about 6.

cherrys cannot take it. my crs were ok. dunno about yamatos.

check ur ph. i think cherries wont really care about the temp.. crs will. but ph.. if drop too low, cherries are the first to die.

    Hey bro,
u only float the bag for a few mins and released the shrimps?
did you acclimatise them properly by dripping your tank water into the original water?
