Oh my...These are extremely gorgeous specimens.Cant wait to see how they will look fullgrown.
Here is my school of F1 moba.
Got 9 of them (measuring slightly over 1") on the 16 May 2009.
They are currently in a 2x1.5ft tank with a pair of 4" L255.
Ph is around 8, diet consist mainly of NLS thera A and frozen brine shrimp.
They seems to have grown quite a bit in just one week. Some of them are like almost 1.5".

hey bro,
what's the preferred water parameters for them, frontosa, just high pH of 8, hard water? or anything else? like temperature etc?
and what's the minimum ideal tank height for adults?
thanks!

Hypancistrus and Tanganyikan cichlids breeding
Very nice fishes. How do you keep the pH high?
I think most AQ members keep softwater fishes. Only once in a while we come across a thread on fishes which live in more alkaline waters.
Have,nt seen a group of fish in such good condition for years, cheers, jim
These are F1 fishes, I think they will do alright in a neutral ph setting.
My water is straight from our tap, no particular treatment except the regular salt and sodium bicarbonate to buffer the ph.
I would love to have at least a 2.5ft depth tank eventually to house an adult colony. They seems to have a liking for deep and water with minimal current.
Lovely fish! There aren't enough people in Singapore keeping Tanganyika cichlids. Where did you get them from Nick?
