Don't think it is effective to use a diffuser for DIY CO2. You may want to consider using a external/internal CO2 reactor instead. Remember to connet the tube with a one-way valve to prevent the water from back flowing.

hi. My experience using diy yeast ACO2 has been quite good. One point to consider though: I found it is best to add the check valve (one way valve) near the yeast chamber outlet as this way you achieve more pressure. I.e. when i attach the check valve nearer to the reactor, the system did not produce enough pressure to force the gas into the reactor. I use 2 * co2 chambers and replenish the sugar on alternate weeks. Hope this helps.

What i do when using DIY CO2 is to channel the co2 directly to the inlet of the filter or add another submersible pump and direct co2 there
