Manual removal still is the best. Else they will spread before the algae eaters can settle down and feed on them. Even so, algae eater has a limitation.

this is interesting 24W for 1.5ft cube is on the low side. Algae not suppose to grow such low wattage. Does it received direct sunlight? does your plant grow healthy?
yup,it near to the window.as for the us fissiden,the dark green leave starting to have light green colour growing at the tip.seen like it going to gain it light green the way it use to been,even the brown leave too.i just start planting HC at the bay of the tank.dun know will it work out or not.bro any tips ???![]()
that a good sign, your us fissiden is growing.
If you planting HC, make sure you don't have yamato or corry, they will dig out the plants. Plenty of CO2 will help HC grow.
