    Hi Guys!

I'm new to keeping betta. went to c328 and saw some bettas.

I'm not sure how to see the 'grade' of bettas but this one I've got is in the $5/- category but I find it gorgeous.

Some that I see which ain't so pretty are in the $10-$13 category. Is it because they are simply harder to breed?

Anyway here is some pictures that I took with my handphone camera.

My tank has got no filter. I just try to change water as frequently as I can.

I also put in some Lamp Lights. So far some lamplights jumped out of the water, maybe got scared by betta. But after a few days, no more jumping.

Thanks and all comments welcome cos I also want to know if i'm doing anything wrong. Hope you guys like my tank and betta.

Hmmm beauty lies in the eye of the beholder i guess. "Grading" includes stuff like finnage also... Anyway i think you meant lamp eyes not lamp lights
It's simple...but no one said it will be easy

Haha, ya you're right. Lamp eyes instead of Lamp lights.

ya i'm newbie in betta so i only choose what I feel is pretty. I think definitely betta pros will not find my betta is nice, but still i'm keeping it as a pet so I think it doesn't matter just that grading for bettas is really a mystery to me. Totally dunno how to see finnage and masking from what I found in forum discussions.

A Bigger tank? I think my tank size is still considered alright, I will remember to change water frequently, thank for the advise nonetheless.

and no, I don't think I'll venture into breeding them, from what I read, I'll need more tanks to house female after laying eggs and all that, so I think I don't want the hassle. I'll just keep 1 enough.

I think if I start getting 2, there will be 3 then 4 and then more and more bettas until my house no more space for tanks.
