    That is a very difficult question indeed. I think there are some difference in terms of the abdominal bars on their body. Other then that, they are virtually inseparable. Maybe they are the same species too. Perhaps you should consult mike wise for more details. He should have the answer for you. Nontheless, a superb specimen you have there.

    I feel these specie is very aggressive towards other males and even the female. Do take note.

    Is Apistogramma sp. "blutkehl", Apistogramma sp."rotkeil" and Apistogramma uaupesi refering to the same fish?
