There was a rumor that UV will oxidize trace element. However seachem customer service said their product will not be affected by UV.
There also reported at APC before that one of the member plant does not grow healthy when UV is on. The symptom is like lack of iron. Dosing more iron does not seem to improve until he turn off the UV sterilizer. http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...55&postcount=8
Again I do not know how true it is, there is no independent study on this.

I am experiencing slightly high water temperature recently, seems strange. Maybe the weather.
very likely, my chillers have been working overtime the past few weeks.
damn, anyway to cool down without chiller? it seems due to the heat, fan seems less effective. Maybe should have dump the whole tank in fridge and rear salmon
