you should do a search on hair algae.
Some common advise i see (not sure it works)
1)use chemical
2)introduce snail,shrimp,fish which eats them
3)remove the plant from tank( apply the chemical)
4)CO2
i would put the plant aside if i already have a nice tank of plants. can't take the risk of a single plant killing my whole setup.

FYI....I have cut away those leaves with hair algae....
Of course the rest of the leaves still have but with minimum....
This I use malayan shrimp to clean up for me....and seems that is working....
Alternatively you can dip it in a diluted bleach solution to get rid of the algae completely. Can't remember the exact ratio, but i think is 1 part bleach 20 part water & soak for 5 mins. Then soak it in anti-clorine solution before planting it into your tank.
