You are right. I didnt take into consideration of the slope when I first did the wood. A pity.
Very eager to see the effect of your tank. Plants are yet to be shape up. Are there any plans to get more plants?

hey hippo, you must be a distant relative of mine? heh...
anywayz, nice corkwood piece you have there!
Yes, am planning to get more plants but i prefer to do it slowly as in getting a pot or 2 at a time and see the effect first before getting others. Speaking of which, anyone knows where to get MM, kinda like it alot. Cheers!
hey relative,
Thanks for the compliment! Will update periodically.
Cheers!
your rocks with riccia will be overwhelmed by the glosso in no time. You glosso pics should be the textbook reference for glosso newbie who couldn't get their glosso to lie down.
For those planting glosso, if your's don't run like those in the pics, you probably don't have enough lights!

Hi choy,
so what do u suggest to prevent that fr happening? Will a acrylic barrier surrounding the rocks work? Or shd i let the glosso carpet first and then place the rocks on top of them? Thks
don't know, the last time my glosso rode rough shod over everything, since the runner goes over the gravel surface, it will actually climb over rocks.

Hi hippo, I hope you don't mind me saying this: your way of planting the tank will definitely lead to algae attack in no time.----------------

Of course i dont mind, i am new at this so i really need guidance. So wat do u suggest? Plant everything at one go? Can advise me? Thks.![]()
Agree with wks. You might want to plant everything and re-adjust/modify as you go along.
why don't you start with maybe some plants like ferns or crypts to decorate the base or around the corkwood piece? and perhaps you should consider the type of fish you wanna keep in order to determine what kind of layout or plants you want. like if you wanna keep cichlids then you need caves, if aros, then you need open spaces, small fish you may want to have dense vegetation, etc, your own choice! I think your tank has a lot of promise with the current corkwood piece.
Thanks sherchoo and hoppinghippo, will take into acct your advice![]()
Hi HoppingHippo, initially I thought that the setup was from you! Now I realise it isn't. [----------------
