hi all, i been to many shops almost around the west area but i failed to scout for an eheim model 2211 or 2213

. does anybody know if any shops in the other parts of singapore? and whats the price of the models? thanks in advance for helping me

Ya.. me thinks that oversized filter is good, provided that the current is not overkill. I use 2117 for a 150L tank (rated good for 400L).

I've had extraordinary result and extra clearness to the water.

I had a 2213 for a 2ft, found that it is still not power enough and have to clean the filter wool every week, suggest that you go for a 2215 or even 2217.

I'm for oversized filter too. With flow ~ 7-10 times your tank vol per hr.

Not to digress too much from the intention of this thread but a quick question to all:
Is it alright to place these external canister filters on the same level as the tank? i.e. instead of placing it on the floor, it is placed on the same table/platform as the tank.

you have to factor in other stuff which might cut the flow like reactor, chiller and also the height. As you use longer, the filter media gets dirty, flow might reduce plus the height level as written in the manual.
If you stayed around Serangoon North, can try Petmart.

I've a atman 3337 sitting on the same level (beside) as my 3ft tank and encountered no problems. Plse note that the tank's height is taller than the filter's. I'm not sure if there will be any problems if the height of the filter is the same as the tank's.

Hi daizman, do remember to get the control valve (it doesn't come with it) so that you'll have less hassle when you do filter maintenance.

I'm running a 2224 in my 2ft Fiveplan through a Hailea HC-150A.

IMHO its just nice, but if you're not running a chiller it might be a bit too high flow for a 2ft.

I'm running with all the included intake and rainbars.
