EvolutionZ's Shrimp tank.

long time no post in AQ aquascaping section.
i was acctually quitting aquascaping due to me stuck with a boring 2ft..
but i was posion once again by many great looking scape and shrimps, decided to come back.

its been a year since i do a shrimp tank though.

Tank specs :
40x30x25 (LxBxH) tank custom made by YONGHUA.
2 x Kenis 13watt PL clip on (6500k)
GeX Dark green packing soil.(with old sea mud soil powder at the bottom)
Flora : from any moss to any fissiden to any moss like plant will be possible to be in this tank.. once again another moss tank by me.
Fauna : hoping to be mainly CRS.

Tank arrived 1 hour ago.. really nice tank and price was attractive(please don't ask me for price, ask yonghua)


hooked up everything on my 2ft lower tier..




should be setting up next week after i source for a filter.

last time stick to 1 moss.. this time round got alot moss.. big difference! haha..

day 1 :
mosura series for my shrimps.

day 2 :
tank left for 3 days for silicon to cure..
first to go in was this :
MOSURA old sea mud powder..

spreaded out

in goes the soil

day 3 :
bought 4 piece of wood, manage to settle down for 1 scape, pretty wild looking to me.

wood tied with xmas moss and filled up water.. and 1 whole bottle of mosura is poured in as stated.



day 5 :

update :
went to na and came back with :


hooked them up, it's my 2nd time using the GEX hang on filter, i feel that its the best HOF ever. nice looking and very efficient. big space for media as well.
and look, it comes with a thingy that helps to change the direction of the flow,


i bought a pretty big size fan.. can say it's 2 in 1 for me.
on one hand, it blew air on my tank reducing temperature, on the other hand, it blew air on my 2 light set that cools them. i found out that the light set is pretty hot on the touch after 4 hours of lighting period.. also produce quite alot of heat. this way, lighting can be kept cool which extends the light set's lifespan, and also blow the hot air away from my tank.

the filter media area is big as well for a 330l/hr filter.

thanks stewpid, temperature hover around 26C for the day, strangly at night it seems to go up to 27C.
