    Hi,

I have problems taking non-fuzzy photos of my rummy nose tetras. They are just too active!!

Can't seem to find the balance with shutter speed / exposure / ISO. Either the fish appears blur, or the photo turned out too dark.

Any experts in photography can give some tips? Thanks!

not an expert but try to help..
there are several things you can do with your camera..

    1) Increase ISO to around 200 to 400 (SLR)
    2) Shutter speed i think min that we can go is around 1/160 for active fish..
    3) aperture depends on what kind of dept you want? smaller number denotes more light which aid in photo taking(can increase shutter speed)
    4) if got marco mode/lens, using them will aid also as they have min focus distance and they are tends to be brighter..

that's all that i know.. newbie also.. hope it helps..

it is almost a certainty you will need flash to provide enough light for such fishes. check out the photography subforum there are lots of discussion on fish photography.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
