About gujing . they are from Tonina species, am I right? I think CO2 is the problem followed by NO3.
my gujing is turning yellow i think due to lack of fert, as my co2 is ok at > 3bps and my 55w is on 7 hours.
i have inserted 2 pieces of the above to try to save it.
Anyone with experience if they plant will go or it can still be saved?
btw, my tank also has hair algae which i am trying to remove via oto, pleco, malayan shrimps, yamato but still got still.
thanks for the information.

You found the answerThe DIY CO2. Gujing is demanding plant in a way that it needs CO2 to be consistent and not sometime high..bad day low..
You will have to invest with the CO2 system that turns on and shuts off without worry that it will kill the shrimps
If there are good amount of CO2, the gujing will be hungry, prosper and grow.

Algae is usually if not all, grow because your plant in poor condition. Focus on growing healthy plant and algae stay away. Unfortunately it wont go away once you have it though, you can slowdown the grow but you still need to manualy remove it.
Need more info on your tank size, fertilizer dosing regime, CO2 concentration, etc
A question.
Would dosing iron help in the case of wllmm33's gujing
well you need to find out what is the root cause first. There are other reason why leaf turn yellow, lack of iron, lack of Nitrogen, lack of sulfur, etc
I also dosed iron weekly but the gujing keeps going more yellow and now seems melted.
tank is only 1 ft x 8in x 8in i think with weekly dosing of K, P, no3, and trace elements as well, but the only problem i think is the co2 which i am now changing to the cylinder with regulator type.
i have tried using otos, plecos, shrimps both yamato and malayan , but no avail.
i guess got to manually remove it bit by bit now and start again later.
thanks
Gujing-is Eriocaulon sp?
I think lighting-this plant needs high lighting.
Never been successful with this plant. Either gets BBA or vanishes. Just as well-it's very hard to scape with.

maye it's too hot? alot of my plants yellow interminably until i add fans / chiller
I'm also trying Root Monster from Qian Hu. Of course, it's success is visible, presuming if the root hug its, the plant must really like it!
