How long have you been keeping them? How many in how big a tank? Maybe you would get more answers if you included more details.

1 feet tank . 10 neons . internal filter . tank 3 weeks old. 18w lighting . hc only tank.
maybe the tank is not fully cycled..
The role of master and servant begin to cloud in the water..

i had a similar incident that reduced my neon population from 30 to 2..lol..these 2 are still currently living though.. besides your water chemistry and all that stuff, i deduced that mine might had died because of 2 reasons.
1. Over changing of water.. i was kinda getting rid of an outbreak of just before they started dying off. Problem was after that i was kinda obsessed with changing the water and was doing it over regularly, like twice a week. noticed they started dying off in the 3rd week of my obsession of clean water. Might had been the stress of changing water. Did a 20% change each time.
2. You might have been overfeeding your fishes. Prior to this, i was feeding my fishes 3 times a day, everyday. all my fishes had fat bellies and while this was cute to look at, obesity does kill..

Probably a good point on the feeding. I fed mine at that kind of intervals too and YES! my neons were all dead within weeks.
Give up! I wonder what's the best feeding intervals for fish cause the food direction always advise for 3 feedings a day.

neon tetra disease perhaps

Overfeed? Or maybe they not used to the water yet?

1 feet tank, i think the internal filter flow too strong. check it.![]()

Have you cycled your tank before you introduced the fishes in?
