    hey guys~

need some suggestions for my rescape. initially was using amazon sword for background in my 1.5ft tank. however i think amazon sword is not tat suitable for small tanks hence i removed it and planted it in my bigger tank.

my setup includes co2, 2x36w, wondergro macro micro and root ferts and iron. i love to see pearling action. right now i have some HC planted, planned to have a full carpet. is it recommended to use riccia as wall? as i know riccia is another plant that pearls like nobody business. didnt use riccia as carpet as i dont wan to waste my ADA soil. Intend to setup a wall to cover my left and right side of the tank.

    riccia wall?
    fissiden wall?

Riccia grows very fast and you'll need to trim it often. Are you willing to do trimming every week? I thought the swords look better in the tank.

icic.. yea i abandon the idea of riccia wall.. now considering a fissiden wall.. i like the swords, it roots very fast but it makes my tank look small =\ read from plantgeek that swords are not suitable for small tanks?

Swords grow large, bro. I took mine out (Ozelot) because my tank was too short (30cm only).

I'd keep swords if my tank was at least 24 inches in height. That way the swords can grow to full potential. E.g. ozelot, ulvaceus, etc.
    Yecch!
