    Hi all, anyone here use UV sterilizer for planted tank? I have read from the website that UV sterilizer basically killing all free floating microscopic organisms and bacteria in the water.
    Did it helps in algea control?

    Can anyone advice. Thanks.

    Yes I'm using for years. Its placed after the filter thus it won't affect the BB column.

    Thanks for the reply. I intend to have a pair of T. candidis for breeding. Will the UV sterilizer has any effect on the eggs for the apisto? Thanks.

    No effects on apistogrammas or taeniacaras.
