Thinking of using the Ada Africana type for the substrate. Anybody using the sand type? Can't decide as which one to use, the normal or fine type. Or both?

ADA Africana would be good especially if you're keeping Apistogramma species that need very low pH to breed. For less demanding species ADA Amazonia or Gex would be fine too. The normal size africana aquasoil would be good enough. The smaller size aquasoil would break down more easily when your Apistogramma sifts through the substrate.
