I see them regularly in the shops here in the Pacific NW USA. I have kept them but my tanks are generally too warm for them.
I mainly check out the shipments of P. jumbo in search of Parotocinclus spilosoma or similar.
I recently got my hands on 15 Parotocinclus cf. epplyei which are almost too cool for words. Adults are barely 2.5 cm TL.
