Boraras Brigittae are fine with adult shrimps.
Hi all,
I have a tank of Cherries and they are breeding..many baby shrimplets. I am considering to add micro rasboras to the tank as they are the smallest fish that i know of? i was wondering if they will still eat the babies? any bro kept micro rasboras with shrimplets and had bad experiences before? kindly share..
thanks!

Yup, so long as the cherries do not eat their fries instead.
so far mine are fine.. they will leave all shrimps alone..![]()

Just provide dense cover of plants for them to hide. I think it's okay for some shrimplets to be eaten by them as cherries are prolific breeders. You might actually wish you had more rasboras![]()

I have no problem with them with shrimps. Hope this helps.

thanks for the feedback.. I will keep my eyes peeled for smaller fishes in LFS then! thanks.

I have kept microrasboras with cherries before. They have observed to take random nips at the shrimplets, even if they don't eat them. However, being attacked this way can stress and possibly kill the younger shrimplets.
You will need to provide plenty of hiding places but the newly hatched shrimplets have the unfortunate habit of clinging to the walls of the glass tank, which tends to attract curious microrasboras. But as someone said earlier, you can live with the losses as cherries are prolific breeders.
