mine breeding in ph 6.5
mine breeding @6.0PH
For me, the other tank which PH is 5.0 belongs to my colleague.
Both of our tanks are in the office. Water is from same source (aka tap). And so is the temperature.
My colleague just top up water and maybe just 1 cup of water change per week. Somehow, the tank is breeding with lots of CRS.
Somehow...I am very baffled.
My ph out of the tap in Alberta is 7.8. My CRS are in a 15 gal with moss and almond leaves. They have just started to breed (only had them 3 months) and the ph in the tank is 7.4!! I have been introducing some RO water with the water changes to lower the ph.
My tank reaches 5.7 sometimes due to CO2 injection. Somehow they are still doing well.
Maybe it is due to the pollutants being less toxic at lower pH.
