    i was just curious..is it possible to breed betta splendens with a wild form of betta? i know some are mouth brooders but i was thinking of trying out with one which is also a bubble nest builder. anyone has any experience on this..i only know its possible mixing imbellis with splendens becos i had tried it out before but wat about the other types of wild betta bubble nest builders?

    no one reply ah..sadness..anyway..was thinking of breeding with wild stock because i noticed that bettas nowadays may appear more beautiful, but they seem to be much more fragile..might be the problem with too many generations of inbreeding.. although many might disagree..inbreeding will always cause problems..1 or two generations might not be so obvious..but after countless generations of inbred fishes..there definitely has to be some sort of a genetic problem
