Any checks on the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels?? Otos normally will expire in bad water conditions.... you may have disturbed the nitrogen cycle and it may be in a re-cycling process....
Hi
will someone like to advise me on what can be done.. woke up in the morning and find one of my ottos dead and 2 out of 6 rummy nose that i had lose quite a significant amount of redness on their nose.
did a test on the water and found the following...
KH test - 71.6ppm
GH test - 107.4ppm
pH test - 6.5
I just bought the ottos and rummy nose on sunday. The tank is about 3 mths old but did a major rescaping 2 weeks back.

Hmm... mebbe the rummy-noses or otos were carriers of some disease?? Pretty hard to tell now... Next time, it's best to quarantine them for a week first before adding them to the main tank.
