will crs survive in a tank with gex soil and no other plants?

i don't keep CRS, i keep cherries but... i think it is quite risky to do that cause the water chemistry might fluctuate too much when waste build up etc. why not try easy to keep plants?

nana,
java fern etc

haha ok cus i just sold my moss turf and decide to use rocks for scaping so wondering if it will affect the crs anot because i saw alot people scape just using rocks.

maybe just dump in some moss in loose form for the shrimps to cling on to. Anyway, the moss will provide them with constant foods also.

Why not? I have been setting up with just soil and crs with good filtration. Works fine with me. But as population gets bigger, its good to introduce some hardy or floating plants.
