    Hi,

Does anyone knows what this means, "CO2 IND <2.9kg INV IN CYL(H) COP"? I know 2.9kg stands for weight and CO2 IND stands for industrial CO2. How abt other short forum terms used? It is printed on the receipt given to me after a CO2 topup.

Is industrial CO2 suitable for aquarium usage? I already started using the CO2 after a topup at SOXAL. The fishes & shrimps seem to be ok.

I also wrote replies on my SOXAL topup experience. If interested, please click on the link here: SOXAL Topup Experience
    Regards,
    Brigitte

If soxal refills your CO2 cylinder for you, that means your CO2 cylinder is of industrial standards...soxal will not refill cylinders that do not comply to standards, or they have been damaged, or have not been tested after 5 years. If you really must know what the marking means, perhaps you may want to call soxal.

Industrial CO2 is fine for aquarium usage. Actually the grading is the purity or rather concentration of CO2 in a given volume.....

    Medical grade = 100% CO2
    Food grade = 95% CO2
    Industrial grade = 90% CO2

the above is just what i could remember and it may not be the correct percentage.
