Heck the fishes. Its all about toys!

Akihabara which used to be a place for electronics products have seen a swam of Manga, Anime and Toy shops booming in recent years.

Here is the place where it all happens.

And the building with the most shops congregated together.

A directory of the shops. Not very useful unless you read Japanese. I just head for the top floor and make my way down.

Be greeted by millions of toys!

A shop that sells air guns. And they look 100% real to the untrained eyes.

Allocated at one of the corner on 6th level. Students playing card games. And no, its not boring magic the gathering.

They are playing made in Japan game cards. Many types from manga to games titles. There is even King of Fighters cards.

A shop that sells nothing but cards.

Evangelion (its pronounced as "Eh-Fann-Gee-Li-On") is still extremely popular in Japan. Not only the figurines and songs from the anime/manga can be found and heard everywhere, even the most popular pachinko game slots are Evangelion themed.

Here's a new Evangelion fighting/VS type game for PSP.

These robots have arms and legs that are so flexible you can bend them into poses that looked exactly like in the anime.

For those who watched the lasted Evangelion 2.0 movie. The newest edition to the prototypes.

    They even sell the buildings

    Rei and Asuka

This one i like best. Rei in the cockpit that is scaled to actual size.

The latest toy in Japan. There is no rules on how you construct the characters. Buy the standard set, and then the many spare parts available to build your mighty heros!

For soundwave fans. Here is sound wave in his original form. I still prefer the original version then the movie version that looks like a twisted mess of metal. This one is a working MP3 player and yes its transformable into soundwave.

Here is one of my purchase. A F-14 tomcat model.

Which later became Skywarp! One of my favourite characters in the original transformers cartoon.

The details to this collectors edition of transformers is amazing.

And my purchase. The trio of aeroplane decepticons Thundercracker, Starscream (USA edition) and Skywarp. Along with Ramjet, Hotrodimus and another starscream. Went back the next day for the original Optimus Prime and Megatron.

To top it off. A longkang/canal infront of my work place that is line with cherry blossoms that is said to be a sight to behold when they are in full bloom.

The canal smells like our canal and when it rains, water turns milky. But look what is swimming in it! Koi!!! And they are huge and fat! There are also orange colored ones and turtles swimming in it.

Someone mentioned this product before in a previous. Some special water used by NASA and it can keep the cherry shrimps alive. I wonder for how long without the need to feed them.

You should Adrian. I like Japan, good food, good people, the only thing that turns me off is their proficiency in English...always a barrier for non japanese speaking visitors.
