    Hello anyone... need your advise ugently

    my office Discus breed over the weekend in a 3ft planted tank, with some other discus and some small fishes...

    how? should I remove the parent now with the eggs or should I just leave it in the tank?

    how long will it take for the baby discus to hatch? and when it is safe to remove the baby fish away from the big plant to a small tank? cos' I dun wan the baby fishes to b eaten up by other discus and fishes..

    how???.... I am lost [] pls help

It will not be wise to transfer the babies at an early age; instead, it will be better if the other fishes can be taken out so that the safety of the frys will not undermined. Another (even better) alternative: use a divider to separate both parties.

    They all r living happily.... in the parent stomach now... SOB SOB[] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] []

    me n my friend r the "indirect" murderer.. cos' b4 we insert a plactic to separate the parents(+baby) away from the rest of the fish... the family are living happyily... can see baby swiming around... after shortly after we inserted the plastic... the parent got too frigthen and stress out.. and start eating the baby away... [] [] []

    nvm... shall wait for the next breeding...

    Hi Acid,

    My advise to you is to separate the pair into a 2ft bare bottom tank soon. It is very likely that they will breed again soon. Don't wait for the eggs to be laid again.
