Shrimps Vanishing

A friend of mine has a 1-ft tank with neons and some cherry shrimps.
Funny thing is that recently, he noticed that his shrimps began disappearing.
Could it be possible that the neons consumed the shrimps?
He's been really confused and I have no idea what happened as I'm quite inexperienced

bro, neon tetras can be very offensive at time. especially so when the shrimp moulted, leaving unprotected fresh meat. it could be the neon tetra feast on poor shrimps. for best result, please do not mix them in the same tank. shrimps may also die from being overly stressed by the shrimps.
