Ghost fish seem to be very commonly available in LFS. What are they and how to keep them well?

What's a ghost fish? Is it scary? I guess it's common in the LFS as there are many deaths there. Don't let timebomb see this.

i presume you are referring to the black ghost knife fish? the small ones are quite common, but the large ones are hard to find.

You could google it and find out about them.

Thanks for the name "black ghost knife fish". Now I managed to see lots of relevant information. Before that, when I was googling using the word ghost fish, lots of funny things come up.

    Haha.

Anyway, I used to have that "black ghost knife fishes" before but gave them all to someone else. Some are will long black and white tail and some are with short little tails. They are about to swim up right, back and fro. They are very fascinating fishes to watch.

They only feed on live/frozen worms but I managed to convert them to feed on pellets only. One of the longest "black ghost knife fishes" is about 10" long.

    Re: Ghost fish

I need to add on something, Do Not house these ghost knives with fish that are 'shiny' example, neon or cardinal tetras, Knives WILL attack and eat the eyes off the tetras. The tetras will still be alive and without eyes, its very disturbing to see. If your ghost knives are big enough, you can say bye bye to your tetras.

    This is from personal experience!
