Hi, I really like your setup and beautiful rockscape. Very neat. Is that the ADA tank? it certainly look great.

nop, its not an ada tank, just my local dalbarb tank
what is the tank dimension? look very tall. You have beautifull rocks
With tall tank, I would prefered the rock to be gather in on place instead of seperated. What is the substrate height at the back?
I find the 2 big rocks is too level at the same height, i would lower down the left main rock some more. The japonica infront i would push them behind beside the rocks than infront, currently it is covering the rocks lower part, abit unsight to me. You should show the ugliness part of the rocks, it always has the best character.IMHO.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! TIME TO LAY BACK AND RELAX!

hi Kevin,
I think you still can add more soil in your tank to make the slope higher up at the back.
For the rocks, there is a need to have a bigger rock to be your main rock.
currently the 2 rocks seems too similar in size and height.

HI,
Mu 2 cents, if you are looking at some kind of iwaguami setup, you should be following the 2:3 ratio( golden rule). As per my understanding with the seminar I had attended where Amano had presented, he has always suggested that the bolder/larger rocks would be placed on the left side and the right will be occupied with the smaller ones. However, in nature there is no golden rule and anything that has a symmetry pleases the eyesight.
Cheers
Sathyab
thank you all for your remarks/advice. i will try to adjust them and answer the gravel height when i get to the tank tonight.
in building a discussion, i feel that there will be a lot of focus to the gap between the two larger stones as it is a "pathway"
should i try to move that pathway to the golden ratio spot or place a stone as a focal point on the golden spot?
I suggest you use clorine to wash clean the lily pipes. After that declorinate using anti-clorine. It will at least make the filtration parts look more pleasant.
hehehe
Try shifting the right set of rocks closer to the left set. Imho the gap is too big and glaring.
Nice rocks though.![]()
update;
well my lilly pipes didnt get any cleaner. hehe.
some of my random thoughts:
some things are growing better then others,
plants still settling in,
im still adjusting the rock group on the rhs, not quite happy with the smaller rock towards the center.
i find it hard to make adjustments without the AS going berserk.
ive added more soil at the back wich now peaks at 17 cm tall.
added some different plants. im not really happy with the stem plants at the back, i wanted to have vipiara only but,, i had no where else for them to go in. so there they are..
maybe it will turn out ok.
you can also see that i've made the path way smaller between the two rocks.
please, fire more constructive comments brothers of aquatic quotient.

My view. Looks much better if tank is shorter. Also, the foreground should be covered with more of the exisitng short plants. Other than that, nothing much to fire
Hope you don't mind. I did some editing. The effect- you can see.

Hi bro nice setup you have. IMHO i find that the grass behind abit disreacting. =D
i agree, its because the hair grass at the back is not uniform..
what other plants would you guys suggest to use inbetween the hc and balxya?
also, what do you think about growing mini pellia onto the stones?
You can use a small bottle brush with a fishing line tied to the end. Feed the line through it and pull.
removed the background plant and added some fish
the green tint is the results of a new 150 NA-G![]()

Well, let's wait - the foreground plant to bed in.
