    Re: My Cardinals Paradise

Thank you all for the nice comments.

I am trying to give the tank "cardinals swimming through sunken branches" type of feel.

Any advise from all of you out here to improve the scape are welcome.

    Re: My Cardinals Paradise

Overall composition is actually very nice. I love the blending of the plant leaves, from small rounded (anubias nana) at front to longish thin (vallisneria nana) at the back. keep it up
    Currently keeping:

    Planted Tank
    Axelrodia riesei - Ruby Tetra
    Nannostomus trifasciatus - Three-lined Pencilfish
    Apistogramma agassizii "Tefe"

    Re: My Cardinals Paradise

Of course there will be shrimp casualties but not alot.

    Shrimp is usually quite fast.

They are some shrimps that jump out of the tank, probably due to altum angels chasing them.

Overall, shrimp is able to survive quite well, as planted tank provide alot of hiding place for them.

    Hope it clear your doubt.

    Re: My Cardinals Paradise

When they grow to a considerable size, not only your shrimps, even the cardinals might be snacks for them when the light goes out, its "hunting" time.

You will be surprise how "big" angels mouth can be.

    Re: My Cardinals Paradise

    Hi Bros,

I have bought XL cardinal from C328, 33 pieces for $33. But I don't know why they are not eating. Always swim at the below of the water, eventhough it is feeding time. All fishes, like rummy nose, pink danio they are up for the food.

And I also notice my cardinal belly is very thin and every day, I have 3-5 cardinal dying.

Hi experts here, please kindly advice me how to keep Cardinal healthy and eating there food.

    Re: My Cardinals Paradise

4 days ago, on Friday. Now, the stomach is so skinny and empty. But they just have no appetite and refuse to eat.

I have tried to feed with the jap sink food and micro pellet. They just don't eat.

Any ideas, are they catch from the wild or from local fish farm. They seems to looks the redish color.
