i wonder which "expert" did that?
i doubt a expert would recommand such quartz sand that would cut the roots of the plants.
The Game, can you tell us what equipment and accessories are used for your setup? Stuff like filter, substrate etc.

Have not been posting for a while but I cant resist not commenting on this one..
I hope you will plant much much much much much more plants. Some stem plant, as suggested, will be good for the start, even if you want to keep it low maint in the long run. From the few pictures you have posted, it is all slow-grow plants, and VERY slow growing ones for that matter.. help yourself before algae takes over.
using a Boyu external filter with UV, 1200L/H, 16 X 39W T5 12000k lighting, tonados cooling fan, external CO2 reactor....
water looks gd till now and hopefully it gets clearer.....
plan to have small tetra .... about 200 of them and yamatos and CR![]()

the rocks might be too small for this scape..
also plants are not enough but with patience, can wait till they mulitiply...![]()
