Where to buy gravel/sand from?

where to get the cheapest lapis sand or gex soil? For ordinary tank. And which plant or moss requires less maintanance.. ANyone assist ??

2nd hand sand is cheap...see the trading section in this forum.

Think the price in shops are about the same. May not worth the petrol money and time just to travel to a certain shop. Sand is heavy....

Almost no maintenance plant (aka plastic plant that is alive): Anubias bartieri nana

Low maintenance plants: java fern, java moss

lapis sand is $10/10kg most places.

if you need a lot, get one bag from the lfs 10kg and the rest of the sand you get online lah from one of us. i.e. the used sand place place at the tank bottom, then top off with clean new sand.

can go yishun lfs the 1 nearer to katib mrt,there got quite alot brand of soil to choose from.

There are alot of place you can get gravel, C328, NA, Tropical FF, Y618.....

CAn sand from brooks and creeks be used in aquariums?

Haha, No offense taken bro. I used to go to school in texas and there's a spring there where the water is like tourmaline green and it is crystal clear with fallen trees and lush vegetation. Damn I miss those days when I would just drift down on a kayak!!!!

Dude! I live in Tampines, Yishun, and Pasir Ris for 6-1/2 years!!

I know almost every corner of Singapore. Been riding MRT probably thousands times.

I have a friend the in the Philippines who had a piece of land up in the mountain. He built a nice rest house with a swimming pool. The pool has a constant running water from the stream. It was a paradise. Nearby there is a creek. I wonder if the substrate from the creek can be used in tank.

Yo! So you from America man? I bet it can be used in the tank. Why not? Nature's filtration is the best there is. They are selling things like natural river sand from rivers. Just make sure you clean it well!
