Greetings! Singaporean here. I'm a classic case of "Daddy, can I have a pet [insert creature]?" and here I am today, one year into the aquarium hobby, me doing most of the work for my daughter's fish.

We have lost many guppies in the process of learning, although we still have one juvenile guppy we reared from birth. Our favourite fish is a female dojo loach with her amusing personality. She has jumped out of her tank 5 times, and on the 4th time actually got stepped on by my wife. And she's still alive.

We are now progressing from an experimental 30cm tank to a 45cm, 10L tank. Still puny compared to the experts' here. I truly admire your art and expertise. Please help me learn more about this fascinating hobby. Thank you!

P.S. Personally the species that amuses me to no end is the sunfish.
