I have come across one by Eheim, but I am not sure whether they are sold here in Singapore.
Eheim Spray

Hi everyone...
Looking to grow emersed aquatic plants. I think my success with it depend greatly on the ability to provide moisture to the aquatic plants that I am interested in..
I would like to try to grow my own java moss on drift with this method. Like what Teo do to their mosses. It will allow the moss to grow more naturally, sticking on the driftwood themselves.
Therefore, I think a mist maker or something that can keep the enclosure moist could be so useful.
Anyone with experience, recommendations?![]()

Use a small pump (E.g. Eden) and create a waterfall over the wood.
Another option... enclose the tank at the top (with some small holes for ventilation) and create water surface turbulence or a water fall. The condenstation and the enclosed space will be humid enough.
I'm planning to checkout some nurseries to see if I can find some equipment to do fine misting. Don't know when I'll get to it, though.![]()
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
There are a few nozzles on the market that splits filter/pump output to about 10 small pipes... you can use those too. Saw one at gan during the workshop... abotu $10.

Heeheehee ... I was also inspired by what i saw at Teo's place that day and this is what I'm doing to my driftwood at the moment (just started yesterday). *Really hope it works*
1. Cleared the green algae on the bare parts of my driftwood. I had this driftwood in my tank for the last 3mths.
2. Cut away my nylon strings.
3. Plucked off all the algae infested moss. Reusable 1s are put aside and the condemned 1s r thrown. Those that r firmly attached to the wood are healthy (and algaefree) so i left them there.
4. Placed the driftwood into a large plastic tank (20l type) and pour in some tap water (3cm).
5. Covered the tank with a large enuff rag (cotton, porous).
6. Put wet cotton wool/sponge on the rag.
7. Covered everything with an larger piece of food wrapper.
8. Sealed it with scotch tape (i'm just too kiasu).
Took a look at it this morning (12hrs later) and saw water droplets on the inside walls of the tank. Opened up the top and the driftwood still look moist (gd sign). Throughly wetted the driftwood with the water in the tank and repeated steps 5-8.
It's not the most sophisticated setup u can have but it's cheap (free for me cos i have all the stuff at home). Only prob is that u will need to redo steps 5-8 twice a day (12hrs apart).

This is what i did when I tried to grow swordplants emersed...
I planted the sword in a container and cover the container with a clear plastic bag. Everyday, i poke 2 or more holes at the side of the container and remove the plastic bag once the plant shows emersed leaves... usually the bag will be full of holes already... []
For moss, I do not have actual experience...
maybe can get a sprinkler or something then use a powerhead to spray.. then get a timer to control the time to spray..
but only problem is the sprinkler hard to find one.. anyone knows where to get this? and also must find one that can work with normal powerheads cause i afraid it might need high pressure pumps to work
For me, I got myself those big plastic container sold at Carrefour. Placed the driftwood in the container and laid the moss on it. Then just spray water on it whenever I am free. Just like gardening. When I am not around at home, I will cover the container.
Mist makers are great for keeping the humidity up in a tank. I sell them to the University of Arizona, mycology dept for keeping the humidity up in there Mush"rooms" :-) Here is a whole raft of videos on mist makers and their uses.
I stopped watching the video after the 47sec mark. Haha.
I am balding but i am still young!
What mist maker? Haha

There is this donut humidfier, I was thinking whether it can act as mist maker... Maybe just enough for nano tank...
