wah bro. your tank solid.!!!
By this i mean having say 2 different type of fauna inside, instead of say 4 or 5. Concentrating on having a nice shoal of fish then with your 'anti-algae' crew (such as shrimp or oto). Its an expression to sum it up, often used to state that simplicity is often better than complicated designs/ideas. Hope this helps.
As for ideas on fauna i don't know. I often like to go against the general opinion of the public, often opting for something that others may not usually go for. So i'd be tempted to say a specie of Danio would look nice in such a tank. They don't shoal as well as some, but they sure are pretty. Especially the Zebra and Leopard Danio's. It's up for debate i suppose, as most would go for a variant of tetra, or rasbora. All are good, personally Leopard Danio's would be my choice.
With the lines/angles you've achieved in your set-up it could be worth adding a fish with body depth, possibly small angels? I don't know if theres any breed of angel that stays small and doesnt get to 4"+
I'm getting lost in a world of thinking about what fish i'd add now. Going to stop before i turn this post into an essay.
But as ever, theres millions of fish to pick fromI'm sure whatever you pick will look fantastic.
I'll be keeping a sharp eye for updates![]()

wah bro. your tank solid.!!!
Advice from boss Felix
thank you!Still working on it though.
Planted the background plants already. Not enough to go around so need to think of ingenious ways to make it enough..haha.. by that i mean that i had to plant horizontally and wait for new shoots.
Verminator : Yes..yes.. agree with you. i had always only intended to ever put 1 main species in this tank. As for what? i dont know yet. I think i misunderstood you when i read less is more. i thought you meant to use fishes that were more plain as compared to fishes that are more colourful... haha..![]()
So this marks the 2nd week of this tank (Day11 to be exact).
So this week as mentioned previously, i planted all the plants.. still have some left so thinking of how to lush it up even more.
Plant list -
BackGround - Rotala Sp. Vietnam
Midground - Crassula helmsi
On Rocks - US fissidens
On side of trail - Christmas moss
As you can see my foreground is bare almost...
What should i go with? anyone?
I'm so close to just choosing HC.

I know the perfect fish!!!!!!!!!! I say just go unconventional go for nannobrycon esques. Or common name rocket pencilfish. Your tank gives me a very tranquil feel like walking through a wood in a temperate country like England. Not a rainforest but more of a pine tree forest with the straight trunk of the trees. The nannobrycon has got a very unique swimming fashion in which it simply hovers around the plants almost not moving. And it schools really really nicely. SO I think the sight of them swimming between your woods would be awesome!!!
Just a suggestion boraras briggitae? So it will look like "litte birds flying" in the forest..
Wow.. both great suggestions...
now i need to think more..haha.. Thanks guys.
But i was asking for choice of plants for the foreground... its so bare..![]()
how about some japanese hair grass around the rocks you left on the bare fore ground? Thats my suggestion![]()
HC or elatine triandra or other small plant so that it does not block the rock
I think normal hair grass with glosso or HC will look great for your foreground!
WOA WOa Woa.... That tank is a piece of art! Nice work.
I still prefer having the front bare. It looks fantastically pleasing to my eyes already!
Thanks Spid, and thanks for all the suggestions guys.
I settled on some HC and Downoi today. Next to plant the heck out of it. hahaha..![]()

Huh? its out? haha.. haven't seen yet.
Got this idea eons ago but haven't really had the time to put it down on digital film... haiz..
Hope to see how this guy did it.
This means that if i publish this next year then i'll be seen as the copycat.. haiz.. haha..
Have to think of new idea!!
not out yet, I visit his place yesterday
only the concept is the same, jungle with vertical tree and small road, but execution is different
if not mistaken it used to differentiate the price per pot
