don't think so. why not build one yourself? get those plastic air tight box to do one. if not run a cannister w/o powering it up, hehe. just wonder why you don't want to do away with external pump and running the reactor with the cannister.

Hello,
The reason Ia m asking is cause I was thining of running my reactor with an external pump and I was thinking since Ia m going to do that, why not add a cannister in between with media as a second filter. So anybody can advise if there is such a thing? Thanks!

No such thing you can either remove the impeller inside the canister filter or you can use the water filter. those plastic air tight box not designed to take the pressure of your pump, it will leak.
use those pre-filters ?
I think the closest you can get is to buy the Eheim 2250/2260 bucket (including the trays and necessary connectors). I think there are alot of parts and buying them seperately may not be as economical as buying the entire set. I tried to call up the distributor to enquire but no one picked up the phone from morning till evening.
The eheim buckets can be used with any external pump with the necessary connectors if I'm not wrong.
The pump can also be removed from the top to be seated on the cabinet floor.
Actual owners may wish to chip in.

Non-premium (Jebo/Atman/etc) canisters seem to make more sense as they are cheaper when new - however, reliability is may be an issue or not depending on feedback (which may be lacking) by actual users.
i did it previously using a hydor 30. i just removed the impeller and used an external pump. it was an external fuge for my nano reef.
no need to plug in, safe electricity somemore.
just source for a faulty canister filter will do.

Yes, there is.
What you're looking for is a pre-filter container. I know Polyart used to carry them last time, saw in on their blog, but not sure if they still stock them now.
Brand is Jaqno.
Here's a link to a pic, but not sure if it is the exact same piece of equipment.

Hello,
Yah just got a prefilter from jaleco and got the bacter rio for the medium![]()

It's now 1:32 am. I have been trying to connect my new eheim pump to the prefilter then to the reactor then to the tank. NOT a good idea! The flow rate was so affected that the water cannot even go up to my tank. Took out everything and left with pump and reactor. And now it's workingWah so much work for such a small tank!! It better be worth it
I better get ADA Top 50 next year!
Just kidding.
What about this setup?
Tank--pre-filter--pump--reactor--tank.

hahaha I think not. II am almost half dead!
If I were to do it, I would use maybe 2 set of Eheim Installation Set 1. You might get away with 1 but not too sure.

Someone using this. You could ask at the lfs whether they sold the pump separately.

Here's a not so cheap alternative.
