I am setting up a 6x2x2 for plants. Whats a good MH light set to buy? I am now using a BLACK GALAXY from Taiwan. Should it be 3 x 150W pendants or 1 single piece like the BLACK GALAXY.

Reef Depot should have them. Give them a call.

Thanks guys! U are using the Giesemann MEGACHROME Tropic 150W DE 5,600K Metal Halide Bulbs? There are many 10,000K bulbs. Its is ok for planted? Also do I need 150W x 3 or a 250W x 2 for a 6x2x2 footer? It must be super hot ....

I have a 2x150W MH for my 4x2x2ft now and my hall lights are redundant... and super hot at times. Does Giesemann lighting make it any better, ie less hot??

2x150w already hot and you want to try 3x150w or even 2x 250w? You might have to look into T5. 8x80w perhaps?

Provide with good ventilation it will certainly do well..but as usual, MH is the hottest... so you cant expect anything much just that Giesemann material is much more solid, and the material itself is able to lose more heat then those commonly found in the market, im using tropic, you are still able to switch for any other type of MH bulb, ADA and many others... if you having it in a tank cover, like mine, its better for you to run with a chiller I think you use 150Wx3 the light will be more evenly spread out, but i reckon you to reconsider the point of putting in a cabinet if you are doing so...i regretted putting a beauty in a cabinet. haha
