I have a ikea lamp holder and was thinking if I can get those energy saving light bulbs (screw on type) for my 1ft planted tank.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    good reference for your question.
I think it depends a lot on what type of plants you're going to have.
Nana, mosses are some undemanding plants you can have with little light.
