Hi guys I'm new to planted tank. And I'm considering to get a co2 system. Saw this offer online a guy selling a 1.5kg cylinder, manual regulator bubble counter and diffuser for 35 dollars. But the cylinder is empty. So this mean I have to top up myself.

So now the concern is where do I refill the cylinder. The cylinder is green in colour plus grey top. Is there anywhere I can get 1 to 1 exchange top up or I only can leave the tank with the shop an collect it days later.

Do u guy think 35 dollars is a good deal?

if it is a tank from NA, then can do 1-1 exchange there. the rest is leave it in LFS for few days to top up.

deal good or not depends on yourself and do a research in the market place. personally i think is ok but i prefer to go for one with solenoid.

If you work near Jurong can send to Asia Industrial gas for refilling cost is about $12 but if you first time there need to do a hydrostatic test which cost $21. First time takes about 2 days if just refill 1 day.

    just a note.
manual regulator usually refers to a manual butterfly valve.
it is tough to control co2 flowrate using such valves.

for easy co2 flowrate control, you'll need a proper regulator.
the output pressure will remain constant no matter how much you have turned on the cylinder main valve.
and you'll need a needle valve as well.

most lfs that offers co2 system will have needle valves.
your best bet will be usual lfs such as nature aquarium, petmart, c328, bioplast, ...
