hey guys, my 2f tank keep cover with green fungus after 2week from water change.
i'm using 240v-50hz/55w/60cm light from Aqua Zonic.
    light on for 6hrs only.
i don't have this problem in the past until i change my light.
any good recommendation of which light is best for my tank?
it's a plant tank with some fishes...

Your light are too strong therefore make the water temp increase (water hot). Alage love warm/hot water.

Try turn ONs 3 hrs only instead. Hope it help

How heavily planted is the tank, and are you injecting CO2?

Your light is considered strong, and if you don't have CO2 or ferts or if the tank isn't planted heavily, you get algae definately. So much light, something has to grow. If conditions are no good for your plants, plant growth stops, algae grows instead. Algae doesn't need CO2/fert dosage to grow, but when you give them so much light and the plants aren't using it, they use it.

it is not about the duration of light on, is about the intensity. Also do not turn on light less than 4 hours a day, it will slowly kill the plant. Although some hardy plant might survive

try increasing water changes to once a week. i use 55W+2x36W (total 127W) 10 hours daily and only algae I have is some spot algae on glass. my tank also 2ft.

up your co2 and fert dosage a little since you are using 55W only. your plants will make use of the co2 and ferts to complement the high light.
    Yecch!

What is your source? In my experience high temps with very intense light causes algae to die off aswell as plants.

What bro Desewer says is true.
    I run 24w x 3 T5HO with 55w x 1 PL on a 2 ft tank. Works well too.
    Point to note:
High light requires more fert and CO2.
Also need lots of plants too. Depending what plants you have and what you intend to get, match it with lights, ferts and CO2 to get a balance.
    What plants to use???? Arggggg......

I think you should do a 8hrs light exposure. Break it up in parts. 2 + 2 +4hrs. Interval you set. Excel and Clarity from Seachem seems to work well for me.

    Just found this:

    HeadStart

    Product Description
HeadStart™ conditioners pack combines Prime™, Stability™, and Clarity™ into one convenient pack. It’s great for any aquarist but is ideal for the beginner.
Prime® is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water. It should be the first choice conditioner when setting up a new tank, adding, or changing water. Prime™ removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia.
Stability® will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: “new tank syndrome”.
Clarity™ is the ultimate clarifier for both fresh and saltwater. It employs an advanced polymeric flocculating agent that is both reef and plant safe. Clarity™ is the only clarifier on the market that does it all! Clarity™ will clear all types of clouding.
    Sizes: 3 x 100 mL

another reason might be an overdose of plant liquid ferts..so take note not to put too much of it and wipe of the algae and do a water change after that. That should help.

Have you try putting in enough friendly bacteria (e.g. Bacter ball, bacter 100) and intro some natural clean-up-crew (CUC) Good examples are ottos, SAE, CAE & Yamato shrimps.
