Just got this CO2 test kit : Sera brand

Suppose to dose the container with the 3 -4 drops of the liquid and hang it reversed in the tank. Adequate CO2 in tank wd make the colour of the liquid turns from light green to dark green. However, this does not seems to be the case, it still remains light green after 3 days even when pump up the CO2 (previouly 2bps - change to 3 bps) in my 2 ft tank.

is there a better way to determind the exact amount of CO2 injected?

    KH = 4 Ph = 6.8

    Pse advise, thanks

I believe wat u got there isnt the CO2 test kit but a PH checker.. green usually means neutral ard 7, yellow soft and blue hard... this is used mainly for checking the PH rather than the levels of yr C02...

Hi Simon, you meant i bought a ph test kit and not a CO2 test kit? But the labels on the box say Sera CO2 Test. Reagent contains ethanol. Please explain further, thanks.

    this is wat u got?

    CO2 Long-term Indicator
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For approx. 60 measurements. Only by permanently monitoring the CO2 level the best possible growth conditions for all water plants can be assured. The sera CO2 Long-term Indicator is provided with a special casing that is easy to attach to the aquarium pane.
The colour change of the indicator liquid (blue = insufficient, dark green = correct, light green = too much) is easy to monitor.
The colour change may be delayed by up to 60 minutes after a change of the CO2 concentration.

dun get me wrong, wat u bought is a CO2 indicator, like wat peter pointed out, if u refer to the PH/KH chart, thats the level u will get in yr tank.. but if u seriously like to get yr Co2 readings then u got to get a Co2 tester and not a Co2 indicator

    something like this

Light green means that you are getting enough CO2. Yellowish green to almost yellow is overdose of CO2. Dark Green is on the lower side. Blue is insufficient CO2.

I am using that in my tank. Light green is about right.

If you shut down you CO2 for a couple of hours you will see that the colour turn darker green. Finally, it will be blue when all the CO2 escaped to the environment.

    Please read your instructions carefully.

I believe Sera CO2 test kit goes from Blue to Dark Green to Light Green. so not sure if it also qualifies as a pH checker.

IMO, if you have a pH and kH tester should cover your CO2 indication needs. If you intend to get more tester, spend it on a NO3 or PO4 testers. They should be more helpful too.
    Cheers!!
