Yes, I'm from the "source"..
I consider I'm very lucky in our hobby, since I can purchase cardinal tetras and other wonderful fishes for less than USD 0,50...

About Belo Monte, they talk about it since the 80's... But now, this subject came in scene again. Local people says that the government is working on the back stage, because they know the society opinion is against that project.

It's a very critical issue, since Brazil already have problems with the power demand growing faster than its offer, and the Amazon Basin represents around 60% of our hydro-potential. But I hope they don't revert public opinion due to that.

Btw, I'll try to gather more information and keep you informed!

Well, I'm just a hobbyst, I have a 4ft tank for about 15 years. I already breed Guppies, Angel Fishes, Discus, and many other fishes that I don't know the name in english ().... Now I'm trying to learn about planted aquariums. So I purchased a lot of different plants and just planted on the tank!

Two months later, some are growing, some are melting, and I could't figure out why I'm unable to keep alive some bacopa's for more than 3 weeks... And that's the reason I found this excellent forum!!

After reading many posts, I guess it's a lack of lighting, since I just have 0,5W/liter... anyway, I'm working on an 'upgrade'.
