I am from the UK, a Singaporean resident and will soon be living in Thailand for 8 months so I hop around quite a lot. I am joining this forum as it appears to be more centralised on S.E. Asian hobbyists which will help me rape your more local knowledge. My knowledge is mainly based around; Bettas, Invertebrates, Coldwater fish and DIY and Retail equiptment and hardware.

I have 2 tanks and a pond in the UK both are open top so that if an invert is unhappy with its environment they can escape so that I know something has to be corrected, just rhave to watch your step around the house . Only had 2 escapees in 6 months and they escaped in the first week of being in the tank.

    My 5 gallon contains:
    3 female guppys
    1 black bar endler male
    countless hybrid fry
    5 Amano shrimp
    10 Tiger shrimp
    10 Blue tiger shrimp
    1 Black Caridina babaulti
    15 Red cherry shrimp
    Red ramshorns snails
    Pond snails
    3 Assassin snails + youngsters
    1 Horned nerite snail

    Xmas moss
    Java moss
    2 moss balls
    Elodea
    Duck weed

    My 10 gallon contains
1 Thai tricolour male crown tail betta
2-17 male guppy endler hybrid males (storage before selling on to LFS)
    2 albino corydoras
    1 black corydoras
    1 peppered corydoras
    3 striped khulis
    3 black khulis (java loaches)
    4 African Dwarf Frog
3 pink shelled white bodied apple snail young
2 purple shelled dark bodied apple snail young
    2 horned nerite snails
    40+ Red cherry shrimp

    Echinodorus tennellus
    Sagitaria subulata
Dracaena Sanderiana (I know its not fully aquatic however the leaves are exposed to the air and growing out of the top of the tank and the plant is healthy and growing good root structure )

Filtration and heating is shared between the indoor tanks allowing me the water quality stability of a 15 gallon tank and it is over filtered.

    Equipment:
    2 x fluval 1+
    1 interpet PF1
Diy filter with media size equivalent to 10 x fluval 1+
50W heater in summer, 150W heater in winter
10 gallon has 2x 11W aqua pod lights
5 gallon has 1x 11W aqua pod light

    Pond contains:
    3 Sarasa comets
    2 albino goldfish
    2 orange goldfish
    2 shubukin
30+ guppy endler hybrids which were overstocking the indoor tanks get chucked in the pond originally intended for goldfish food but the goldies didn't eat them
8ish adolocesants which escaped capture before selling to the LFS
    Red cherry shrimp
Creepy crawlies like leeches which live in the decaying leaf matter substrate

    Pond lillies
    Water hyacinths

No filtration completely natural ecosystem with goldies breeding for the last 5 years regularly and RCS also reproducing.

    Live food colony tubs (1x3g, 1x5g, 1x10g)
    Daphnia
    Mosquito larvae
    Bloodworms
    Few Guppy Endler Hybrids

    Elodea

No filtration just algae and elodea with the sun as heater

The aquatica is under the care of my mother while I am away so god knows whether anything will be alive once I return.
