    Hi bros,

I am thinking since Eheim introduce one of their canister filters to have a heater integrated in it, how come they don't introduce a canister filter with integrated chiller and CO2 reactor? I guess it will be a phenomenon invention and definately good for all of us as a aquaculturist... what do you guys think?
    Regards,

    Phenomenon invention with phenomenon price.

I would still prefer modular rather than integrated system, easier to replace if any of the modules have problems.

Yup. With 3 in 1 system, when 1 fail, you have to switch off the entire system to rectify the problem. If it exceed a certain time frame, you gonna wish why you purchase such a system in the 1st place.

I insert CO2 tube to the filter inlet without using reactor or diffuser. Can this consider Canister Filter cum CO2 reactor ?

Ya, a modular system is still pretty ideal because you can add or remove whatever that pleases you. Should be cheaper that way too. Imagine the technology and research to put together so many different equipments into one body.

Also, a cannister can be used as a CO2 reactor... just that it's not the most ideal set-up because of fear of air-lock.
