I saw about 4 of these shrimps at Y618 recently, and they have been in the tank for nearly a week now. Tempted to get, but heard too much horror stories about their vulnerability.
One of the most beautiful shrimp from Lake Towuti.
Would like to know if anyone has been able to keep these alive long term or how long they managed to keep them.

I used to have 10 of them in my tank for about 2 months. Now only 2 left....
This is a very difficult species to keep.
I tried it 3 times... each time they last slightly longer before all die off.. kept them from between 1 to 3 mths.
This is my fourth attempt... kept them in 2 different tanks
So far a month.. casualty rate is 50%!
Do be careful of planaria if anyone is keeping this. I had witnessed the planaria attacking the shrimp. They crawl on it and the shrimp struggled for awhile and then die.
For those who have tried and failed, it would be helpful to just list your water parameters
