Hey guys care to share which LFS here sells killies either have them regularly in their stock or perhaps specializes in them... I want to get them for my paludarium preferably a nice hardy non-annual warm water species...

I saw clown killies in a CCK LFS (can't remember the name but its near LOT 1) but they were quite discoloured...

Will vampire crabs attack Killifish and vice versa???

Any help from the Killie experts is much appreciated...

IMHE, Fundulopanchax gardneri is a hardier killie than Pseudepiplatys annulatus and I think Kai might have some juvenile for sale. Thanks for the heads up on ANNs at CCK. Will pop by to have a look-see.

Don't know about vampires since I've only kept killies with shrimps and snails but.... I do like crabs in black pepper!
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

    Kai is his name..
    His nick is Bybloz.

I saw a lot of colourful killies at C328 today and they also got females for sale just that I don't know how to pair and name them.
    Cheers,

will killies make a mad jump to a dry death if my tank water is really really topped up high and is uncovered? are they generally very darty, will get the urge to jump out of tank? I'm referring to generally the nothos...

Oh and will nothos make a quick meal out of my sakura shrimps? coz my clown killies are nicely sharing space with my cherries in another tank with no problems...

Occasionally the Nothos will jump. If you have floating plants and fed well, they usually don't do it, but why take the chance. Just get a piece of netting and cover the netting. Prevents fish from jumping and from pests coming in... like dragonfly nymphs.

Notho will eat baby shrimp. They are constantly hungry. Might not attack the adults but the shrimplets, they usually will. Clowns are surface and mid-water dwellers with small mouths, so they usually leave shrimp alone.

Like Nothos. The common panchax and the lyretail aka australe are great jumpers. The panchax will bully and kill much smaller fishes.

Spotted some Clown Killifish juveniles at OTF Farm 63 Pasir Ris Farmway. I picked up 5, each going for $2 each.

Maybe there's a boom somewhere. They're quite personable creatures but they do get loss among my salvinas and mosses sometimes.

They are farm bred in Indonesia, and those you are seeing are probably a new batch shipped in.
