...rrr.... who said most liquid fert contain copper?
Oh i thought most will contain Cu. I've read it somewhere in the forum few days ago that's why I started this thread. Bro Shadow may i know which are those that don't contain Cu ? I'm a begainer in shrimps keeping.
Thanks
Fert is categorize into 2
1) Macro consist of N, P and K
2) Micro consist of others including Cu, also called trace fert
Even though its contain Cu, the concentration is very small. It should be OK as long as you don't over dose it.
By the way what shrimps do you have? some may more sensitive than others
ok thanks
i'm trying my luck on tiger and bee shhrimps
hi . I wondered about that one for ages, i got the jbl aquabasis kit for a heavily planted with crs and multidentatas . i found the jbl crustacean manual with their ferropol and micro fertiliser and i emailed them a couple of times with copper related substrate and ferts questions.. they checked with their science dept, who confirmed its shrimpsafe and you have to vastly overfertilise for problems. even though it contains copper. fine with me so far.![]()
Easylife Profito is what I am using. Never used anything else before.
They claim to be 100% shrimp safe.
I keep cherries.

Bought it at $13 for 250ml from a small shop in woodlands. Not sure which big lfs has them.
I can concur that normal dosing of most liquid ferts is OK even those with little copper. Just do not over-dose.
I seen Wonder Grow Fert which have only 2 type, 1 is macro which consist of N,P,K while the other type it got is consist of micro which is trace fert whereby it does have Cu content in it.
My question is would it be ok if i just use the macro fert and leave out the micro fert???
Seachem florish Excel. I dunno u consider them liq fert. Been dosing that for 2 months 3 times every week with no shrimp casualty. As long as stay within the direction on their label will be fine.
i am using wondergro and lushgro without casualties. However, i under-dose the ferts to be on the safe side
I was using Tropical Master Grow, not giving problem to shrimps and plant grow.
