I had a few batches of Angel Fishes but soon alot of them died after about 2 weeks after free swimming.

The parents were transferred out of the batch after they had free swimming.

    PH value : 6 to 7

Had tried to add in heater but don't seems working.

    Food : microworms

    Any advise ?

    Thanks

Just my experience for discus, i leave the babies with the parents even when they are free swimming. They will eat the from the parent's body until started to eat other food by themselves. So i guessed you must have taken them out too early.

if your pair can raise the fries well, leave it there. try feeding live BBS.

    CHeers..

albino fries more difficult to raise.

    Re: Baby Angel fish

As far as I know fries of Angel fish do not eat slim from parents. Therefore it is safer to remove fries once they are free swimming and capable of eating bbs or daphnia

Sudden died-offs are sign of ammonia or nitrite poisoning. If you have a large batch of fries, you must change your water daily to dilute the ammonia build-up. Do remember to siphon off their poo. Fries eat constantly. More input equal more output equal rapid deterioration in water quality.

Think Bro Ranchuboy said is correct ... So far i dun see the fries like to stick to the parents' bodies for the slimes ... they always swim alone and gathered at night... I believe maybe its becos of the colder at night...

Haiz... the dealth rate is horrible.... so far the most 2 weeks survial then started one by one died....

Once free swimming, you have to feed them 3 or 4 times a day with either BBS (which requires hatching) or Hikari First Bites (powder form). I reckon your fries died of hunger. All the best!

Remove the parents only when the fries are able to feed on their own.
Thats what I was told when I consult an experience angelfish breeder.

ya the babies eat mucus from parent's body. other food may be too big for their mouth or they won't know it's food for them.

    Re: Baby Angel fish

why not leave them with the parents as long as possible with regular water change?
should feed bbs rather than microworms.
as for angel babies eating slime from parents' body, nobody had documented this although it is a known fact in discus mainly.
good luck in your next spawn.

Yes, you are right. Unlike Discus, Angelfish fries do not feed on their parents' slime.
