Hi guys! Greetings!
I bought a 4 feet light for a 5 feet tank. Most cost effective in my mind.
The light has 2 x 150W MH and 4 x 54W T-5.
The position of the MH is adjustable... pretty coolQuestion:
To have an even spread of light, am I right to say that the MH should be positioned 1/3 from the side of the tank? i.e. The 5 feet tank is 152cm, hence the MH should be 50cm from left and the other, 50cm from right???
| MH MH |
0cm 50cm 100cm 152cm

would this position be optimal? or should the MH spread more to the sides since there would be an overlap at the center when both light energy meet. Also, I was told by the lighting seller that the center brace of my tank should not be blocking the light or it gets dissipated.
He quoted to say that a 6ft tank, when using 3 x MH lights should not have a center brace, but instead two separated braces so that the lights do not get blockedinteresting!
