Hello!
Good News and Bad news.
Bad news,
I left the jambi and tinga in a container and left them there, to let my other tank settle down, before putting them in it. But the tinga managed to escape from the container. They're all in there, mixed up.

Good news,
They swim together in groups at times.
And one of them is showing its colours!I think its the ManisMata. But it could be the jambi, cause the colours are from the edge to the body; are Gold and red. Manis mata is the one with the interrupted lines along the body right?

pipsqueak, did you buy a pair of everyone? i.e. one each of Pijoan (this is the right spelling, see www.calle.com), Kuala Tinga, Mata Manis, and Sukamara (correct spelling?).

Eh, I don't think I'm the only one...I think Edwin(nevada) has a few pairs..
you got the B.brownorum! Is it showing the spot already?

i've only got a few pairs of parosphomenus. 2 pair of manis mata (one of them died because of the Ph fluctuate too much) 1 pair of the kuala linga, 1 pair of the sukamara..getting another pair of the linkei soon ... =p it is a very nice fish.especially the manis mata.hope i can post the picture within this week...
waiting for few other species also. I suggest all of you to try it out.it is cheap fish but really colourfull and nice! nicholas knows about it too!

After talking with charles, I think it's a ph fluctuation problem I might be having, they're still not showing their colours..
Experimenting with the linkei's now(2 pairs), which is in a co2 injected tank.

I will,don't worry ... hoping by the end of this week...cos my exam is on the way la ... =p this saturday start.what do you ph flunctuate to much?? i thought your fish has been in the tank for quiet sometimes ??? shouldn't be a problem. just than when u first putting in into the tank u must condition them properly.if not like one of my manis mata.it died because of ph flunctuation.how many times did change the water in two weeks time ??? i usually change the water tank once in 2 weeks ... the nagyi is really nice nich.u should visit some of the website from yahoo.search for PAROSPHROMENUS &lt;--- is the correct spelling for the species ... why don't you sms me at 91555859 ao that i can sms you the website?

Hi, oops, lemme rephrase that, I'm not injecting co2, and there isn't the &quot;ph buffer&quot; plants take in little, so I'm guessing it isn't stable..although I just checked the ph and it still reads a 5.5. Need to start saving up for a small co2 set..can benefit my xmas moss cultivation anyways

I'm still waiting for 2 weeks, then I can start preparing the water..
I usually search on google, found lotsa sites, but they're in japanese..I'll check out the ones on yahoo.

My exams starts on the 24th, another semester has passed...time flies!

last night I spied my male P.sp 'Pijoan-Jambi' deep amongst the hairgrass, and it was showing a very very deep coloration and flaring, finally managed to see why its called Fire Red [:

] the female was closeby, think it must be showing off?

Yup, they are pretty cheap and great looking but look at this fellow...a whooping $30 per pc at biotope. Hope I don't ID it wrongly...kekekeke..

buzz, kennedy: They're labyrinth fishes.They cost abt 3 bucks each, 6.5 for the rarer ones.
Argh, mine still aren't showing any colours..choy, when the male was showing off, did you see it tilting its body about 45 degrees? I saw one of the p.linkei tilting its body towards the assumed female, as if he was showing off to her or some sort..they swam away when they saw my face looming towards them.

The pencils are soo nice! The Bororas um(?) in the far upper left tank looked pretty neat too.

Parosphromenus is in the gurami family is it ??? i didn't now bout it.i thought it is other kind of species... =p
